When he is not working on some super cool machine learning algorithm, he is an avid traveler and reader. You can always find him busy coding on his laptop, but we were timely enough to catch him in his free time for a small chat. Here is what we found out about this coding wizard.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I am currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at PromptCloud. I did my bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from ISM Dhanbad after which I joined Yahoo!. I worked at Yahoo! for four and a half years and it was a wonderful period in my life with lots of learning.
I am a travel enthusiast and I like to travel a lot. I have been to almost all the places around Bangalore that can be completed in a one day trip. When I was at Yahoo!, I went to the US for one year. I have explored most of the west coast areas there.
Q: What is the one thing you can’t live without?
A: There are many things I can’t live without. Besides the necessities, I can’t live without my family, friends, and my laptop. Since the first two should be the same with most people, I’d say that the answer is Laptop – I can’t live without that.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: When not working, you can find me mostly sleeping. If not sleeping, I’d be reading books or surfing the web. And sometimes, traveling to new and unexplored places as well.
Q: If Hollywood was to make a movie about your life, which actor would you like to see cast as you?
A: I don’t think Hollywood will make a movie on me, at least not any soon. But if it does, I would like to see Johnny Depp cast as me.
Q: What future technologies are you excited about?
A: There are lots of interesting technologies, such as IoT, self-driving cars, wearable tech, VR, and AR, and there are always new advancements in Robotics. Any new progress or development related to artificial intelligence is exciting. The way I see it, I think the future mainly belongs to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Q: Any advice to aspiring coders?
A: Success is more of a journey than a destination. Always keep learning and growing.
