Exposing the wizards behind PromptCloud
Have a tune stuck in your head but unable to break into the song? Meet Ashutosh. The inhouse song library of PromptCloud. A simple guy from Varanasi who happens to be a singing sensation. Any party is incomplete without a melodious performance by him. They say coding is a rhythm and music is religion, well Ashutosh has broken both the codes, for him both of these go hand in hand. No wonder, he is the most calm person in the office and everyone loves talking to him. A small chat with Ashutosh led us to do another spotlight piece on him and here is what he had to say.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I have multiple interests and I like assuming many roles at any given time. I can say that I am a music lover, pet lover, sports person, food lover and a nature lover. I love to listen and sing Bollywood songs, folk songs etc. I like to play cricket and volleyball. In my leisure time I prefer to play chess on my computer or take a long ride on bike.
Q: What would you claim as your most prized memory of working @ PromptCloud
A: Every time we have an outing and dinner party with team is a memorable trip for me because of fun and joyful journey. Good food, good weather and great company, what else does a guy need?
Q: What do you like doing when you are not working?
A: To be frank, it all depends on my mood. If I am upset then I would like to sleep and if not, then I would like to read a biography or do some internet surfing depending on the situation.
Q: We hear you are a great singer. Can you tell us which singer has inspired you the most and why?
A: Oh wow, that is a great compliment. Thanks, but I honestly don’t feel that I am a great singer because there are many, whom I have heard sing much better. Regarding the singer who inspires me the most, there is not one but many. All the legendary singers, especially Kishore Kumar and Sonu Nigam have inspired me a lot. Kishore kumar didn’t know classical singing but still went on to sing so many songs which are priceless and I like Sonu because of his versatile voice.
Q: What is your greatest fear?
A: HAHAHA…..I read this somewhere recently and my fear totally resonates with it: My greatest fear is not that when a lizard appears on my bed but problem starts when it disappear.
Q: If your life were a song, which song would it be?
Q: What advice would you like to give to prospective joinees and coding enthusiasts?
A: There are two types of people: One who are hard workers and another who are smart workers. You should ideally be a smart worker but without hard work you cannot do smart work. So my advice is to work hard, automatically the things will get done smartly with practice.
