Exposing the wizards behind PromptCloud
Meet Suryakant Gokhale aka Sukki or Mr. Funny Bones. He handles many roles at PromptCloud from coding and researching new technologies to grooming our latest talent. The best part though, is that no party is complete without him. He is the “go to” guy at PromptCloud. Got a problem that needs to be fixed? Contact Sukki. Is there a not so happening party going on and that needs to be ramped up? Call Sukki. We have our very own mood uplifter in our hands here people and we tried to get him talking about what makes him tickle.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I graduated from bits-pilani in 2010, worked with Cisco for 1 year ,did IAS preparation for 2 years and now have been working for PromptCloud for last two years. Sounds a lot like been there done that does it? I am a firm believer in the quote that “There are two kinds of people in this world. Ones who Build it and others who experience it”. I always strive to be on the building side. I like to think of myself as a productivity and time management geek, trying to find the right balance between the two. When I want to take a break from my geeky self, I like to trek sometimes.
I am also a big fan of instrumental,post rock and pink floyd music, so any of the corresponding concert tickets are always welcome if you happen to have some. I am sometimes referred to as a LiveWire for cracking jokes and lighten up the mood.
Q: What do you find most interesting about your job at PromptCloud
A: There are multiple aspects of this job that have grown upon me with time and I have acquired a great deal on interest in their functioning and overlapping roles and requirements. Be it handling the Tech Stack or interaction with clients,defining the scope of our model or mentoring new joinees, my job is an amalgamation of multiple roles that have helped me grow my understanding of the organization and the industry as a whole. Also, I get to build tools which help automate stuff!
Q: What are you passionate about apart from your work?
A: I love to help make a difference to other people’s lives. I am passionate and like researching and conceptualizing about science,trains,aircrafts,mountains, eagles or nature in General that would help me decrypt the code of the world around me.
Q: If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
A: Elon Musk. I idolize him. I wish to be more and more like him as time progresses.
A: We recently had a team outing to an extreme sports zone location, close to a dam. It started with a trek, multiple team building exercises, some paintball, some water sports/activities and we ended up having a lot of fun on our ride back home. It was a day well spent. Also, another memories that make it to my list is when clients said they were very pleased with the data they received from me.
Q: Any advice to fellow Big Data enthusiasts?
A: Big Data is Exploding right now with an unimaginable magnitude and with IOT standing right on the horizon, the Scope of Big data Industry is limitless as to what computers can do. So keep on experimenting!
