The place is run-down and doesn’t live up to the Accor Group’s reputation. The buildings are falling apart and the surrounding area is not the most exciting either.
Our room didn’t have an in-room safe (which we had grown accustomed to everywhere else). The pillows were lumpy and the extra ones in the cupboard had insects on them. The fridge was so tiny that we could barely fit anything in there. They did however have an ice-machine, so we could use that in our warm drinks since we couldn’t fit them in the fridge.
The air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted and was FREEZING, so we were cold all night. We tried to call reception to alert them to this but the phone in the room didn’t work, so we just put up with it. We wanted a hot shower the next morning to warm up but there was no hot water, so we left the hotel rather cold, tired and disappointed.
There is a kiosk type souvenir shop and bottle shop at the entrance to the hotel, but there is a supermarket about 100 meters away that is cheaper and has a larger selection.
All in all we were rather disappointed even though we didn’t have high expectations to begin with.
