# Pricing

# Pricing that fits your data project. Not the other way around.

PromptCloud doesn't publish fixed tiers because no two data requirements are the same. What you pay depends on what your project actually involves, and we scope that together before anything is agreed.

Every PromptCloud engagement is scoped individually. These are the six variables our solutions engineers assess when building your proposal. Understanding them means you can arrive at that conversation already prepared.

 ### Number of sources

Each website or domain we scrape requires its own extraction logic, anti-bot handling, and maintenance. A project covering 5 sources is meaningfully different from one covering 500.

Higher source count = higher baseline cost

 ### Data volume

The total number of records you need per day or per month shapes infrastructure requirements. A feed of 10,000 records per day operates at a very different scale than one delivering 10 million.

Higher volume = greater infrastructure overhead

 ### Crawl frequency

Real-time or hourly crawling demands always-on infrastructure and faster pipelines. Weekly or on-demand extraction is less intensive. Your required refresh rate directly affects cost.

More frequent crawls = more compute required

 ### Anti-bot complexity

JavaScript-heavy pages, login-gated content, CAPTCHA-protected sources, and rotating bot-detection layers all require significantly more engineering effort to extract reliably at scale.

More complex sources = deeper engineering investment

 ### Data delivery format

Delivering raw HTML is lighter than delivering clean, structured JSON or CSV. Feeding data directly into your API or S3 bucket with a defined schema adds delivery engineering on top of extraction.

More structured delivery = more processing involved

 ### Schema complexity

A simple extract of product names and prices is straightforward. Multi-level schemas with dozens of fields, nested objects, or matching records across sources require more custom extraction logic.

More complex schemas = more build and QA effort

## Is PromptCloud right for your project?

Those six cost drivers only matter if PromptCloud is the right model for your situation. We are a specialist, not a general-purpose tool. Being honest about fit saves everyone time, including yours.

### Good fit

 ### You need continuous, recurring data from the web, not a one-time pull

 ### Your team cannot afford the engineering hours to maintain scrapers internally

 ### You need clean, structured output that goes directly into your analytics or product

 ### You are collecting from 10 or more sources with varying structures

 ### Reliability and SLA accountability matter more to you than raw infrastructure control

### Likely not the right fit

You need a single, one-time scrape of a handful of URLs

Your data engineering team has spare capacity and prefers to own the stack

You are still defining your data strategy and not yet ready to scope a pipeline

If you are looking for ready-made data feeds or dashboards, JobsPikr (job market data) and 42Signals (ecommerce intelligence) may be a better starting point.

 ### Web Scraping Build vs Buy Calculator

Most teams significantly underestimate what in-house scraping actually costs when engineering time, proxy infrastructure, monitoring, and rebuild cycles are all factored in. Enter your setup and see the real annual number before your next budget conversation.

 ### Why Web Scrapers Fail in Production

Most production scrapers develop reliability problems within 90 days. This guide covers the 11 failure modes engineering teams hit at scale — from anti-bot evolution and DOM drift to silent schema decay — and what high-reliability data teams do differently.

You've just seen the six variables that shape a data project's cost. Each combination produces a different scope — and a different price. A pricing table built around round numbers would either underprice complex work or overprice simple work, and in both cases you would lose.

We scope every project individually because that is the only way to give you a number that is both accurate and fair to you and to us. The conversation usually takes 30 minutes. The proposal follows within 48 hours.

### You pay for outcomes

Pricing reflects the data you receive and its reliability, not the infrastructure we run to produce it.

### No surprise overages

Scope is agreed upfront. Nothing changes without a formal scope amendment and your explicit sign-off.

### Predictable for your finance team

Project-based pricing means your cost is defined before the work begins, not metered after the fact.

### A pilot before you commit

Every engagement begins with a sample delivery. You validate quality and schema fit before the full pipeline activates.

## What every engagement includes

When you engage PromptCloud, you are not paying for access to scraping tools. You are paying for a managed outcome, with everything required to sustain it included in the price. No hidden support tier. No surprise infrastructure bills.

These are the questions that come up most often before a first conversation. If yours is not here, the scoping call is the right place to ask it. <a tabindex="0">Why don't you publish pricing tiers on this page?</a> Because no two data projects are the same. A pricing table built around record counts or source counts would either underprice complex work or overprice simple work, and in both cases you would lose. Scoped pricing means you pay for exactly what your project requires, with no surprise overages and no charges for capacity you never use. <a tabindex="0">What does a typical project look like in terms of scale?</a> Our engagements range from focused pipelines delivering a few thousand records per day from a handful of sources, to enterprise-grade programmes collecting tens of millions of records monthly across hundreds of domains. The pricing conversation starts when we understand your scope, not before. <a tabindex="0">Can I start with a pilot before committing to a full engagement?</a> Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Every project begins with a sample delivery. We extract real data from your target sources and deliver it in your required format so you can validate quality and schema fit before the full pipeline is activated. <a tabindex="0">How long does it take to receive a quote after I reach out?</a> After a scoping call, you typically receive a written proposal within 24 to 48 business hours. The scoping call itself usually runs 30 to 45 minutes and is the fastest way to get a precise number. <a tabindex="0">Is the pricing fixed once a project starts, or can it change?</a> Your project price is fixed to the agreed scope. If your requirements grow (more sources, higher frequency, additional fields) we discuss and agree a scope adjustment before any cost changes. Nothing changes without your explicit sign-off. <a tabindex="0">Do you charge per record, per source, or per month?</a> None of the above exclusively. Project pricing is based on the combination of all cost drivers: volume, sources, frequency, complexity, and delivery format, evaluated together. This is how we arrive at a number that reflects the actual work involved rather than a simple usage meter. <a tabindex="0">We already have in-house scrapers. How does a transition work?</a> We run your PromptCloud pipeline in parallel with your existing scrapers during a validation period. Your team compares output side by side. Once you are satisfied with the quality and schema continuity, you decommission your own scrapers at whatever pace suits your team. There is no forced cutover and no gap in data delivery during the transition. <a tabindex="0">What happens if a source breaks or a site changes its structure after we go live?</a> That is entirely our problem, not yours. Every active pipeline runs continuous yield monitoring against expected field populations and schema structure. When a site changes, our team is alerted automatically and the fix is handled before the output gap is large enough to affect your downstream systems. Most tier-1 source issues are resolved within four hours of detection. <a tabindex="0">What is included beyond data delivery?</a> Every enterprise engagement includes managed infrastructure, anti-bot maintenance, schema monitoring, change detection when target websites update their structure, data validation and QA, and a dedicated account manager. There is no hidden support tier. It is all part of the service. ## Ready to scope your project?
